What’s up?

Well, it has been a while since I have been active on our site. There is a reason for that. For the past year I have been planning and developing this media production company based in Istanbul, Turkey. I can now announce that the paperwork is done and I want to share the news with you all.

Kelimeden Sese Medya Hizmetleri Ltd Sti, informally known as ‘KS MEDYA’, is now ‘online’. Having produced my TV Talk show (66 episodes) over the 2009 2010 seasons, I decided to produce the show myself. I was required to open a company to do so. This however came with some major side-effects.

What side-effects you ask?

Media production in Turkey is booming and I’m now legit to act accordingly! Being registered in the industry here has benefits and the company’s operational ‘license’ was drawn up so we have the most breadth in producing more than a talk show. So cinema, TV, telecommunications, internet, publishing and even show control is in the scope of the company.

What’s it to me?

Great question! I now have 4 topics to discuss. They are:

1. Representation – KS Medya can represent foreign Media companies in Turkey and Turkish companies abroad! We have connections in all aspects of production here and in North America. Animators, special effects, DoP’s, and other media pros… please contact me here or by mail!
2. Co-Production/Support – Want to shoot in Turkey but don’t know where to start? Now you know!
3. Production – Want to reach the Turkish market with a corporate video or ad? Or do you want a more ‘foreign perspective’ to your Turkish company’s ‘video’? We are ready for you and your project.
4. Sponsorship – Looking for a way to promote your company and help assist in breaking global and regional stereotypes? ‘Martin at the Crossroads’ (martin@thecrossroads.tv) is our ‘flagship’ program that is now in pre-production and would love to have sponsors from your sector.

The new show reel for Martin’s creative work  is soon to be completed. Final video edits and audio post is all that is left to do. The teaser is available on the crossroads YouTube channel xRdsTV.

Completion of our new recording booth is drawing near. The booth is custom designed by KS Medya for voice overs and has been designed from the inside out. The acoustics are so good that it is not necessary to wear headphones. Vocal articulation is easily recognized which eliminates the stress of wearing headphones over long periods. The booth is equipped with low heat LED lighting and has continuous ventilation.  The lighting scheme allows illumination of the text being read while not shining in the narrators eyes, thus reducing eye fatigue. The ventilation system refreshes the air every 60 seconds and has a second stage for quick refresh as well. Photos will be available when the project is complete.

With a new company and a new look, we have also made it easier for you to remember the website’s URL. KS-Medya.com is now connected to our original site’s URL  kelimedensese.com . Both point to the place where you can get outstanding original and client based media and voice production.

For the past 2 weeks KSM has been producing a new video project. We are now in the final stages of shooting and will go into post production mid- December. the overall project will be ready for release before Christmas.

Martin was interviewed in Turkish on TRT Avrupa FM Friday June 3rd, 2011. The interview was in Turkish and additional information can be found in a post on The Crossroads website.

We have had this Skype address for a while but never used it. Now that we have opened the office, we will start to use and monitor ‘ kelimedensese ‘. Please add us to your Skype contact list!
